Malignant Melanoma

Initial Pet Study.

Second PET Study after one and a half years.
Patient History: a 53-year-old male with a history of melanoma involving the left are.
PET Findings from initial study: 1) Three areas of increased activity. Two lesions are in the left axillary lymph node region. The third is on the skin just below the left axilla along the lateral margin. 2) Lesion seen in the right lateral thigh (not shown).
PET Findings from second study: Multiple areas of abnormal uptake consistent with metastatic disease. Lesions are distributed throughout the body. Some are in the skin, soft tissue, and bone.
